The Mayport Beacon located on the beach and is open seven days a week. The building is home to many programs that support Community Recreation including Tickets & Travel, Beach Rentals, the Liberty Center, and the Community Recreation Center. Other facilities inside The Beacon include Loggerhead's, Tortuga Conference Room, and Computer Cove. Sand volleyball courts are located directly behind the building.

Programs

Beach Equipment Rentals

Beach rentals are available at BLDG 245! Stop by to rent surf boards, paddle boards, beach chairs, coolers or anything you'd need to make your beach day fun. Open when the Beacon is open*, give them a call at 904-270-7788. *Or 1-hour before sunset

Community Recreation Center

Located inside The Beacon, the Community Recreation Center offers a place for the military community to socialize. This contemporary facility features a gaming area and a movie viewing area where Sailors can enjoy the latest movies courtesy of Navy Motion Pictures. Open to Active Duty and their guests ages 18+, Monday - Friday 9 am - 4pm.

Liberty Center

The Liberty Center offers an escape from your room to hang out with other single Sailors. This program is geared towards enlisted bachelors and geo-bachelor personnel, E-1 through E-6. Sailors can enjoy special events, workshops, gaming, and sports tournaments. Inexpensive trips are scheduled on and off base each month, offering a wide variety of exciting programs and activities in the local area. The Liberty Center is an alcohol and smoke-free environment and is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Computer Cove

Computer Cove offers a space for you to hop on the internet and print documents. The Computer Cove is open 7-days a week anytime The Beacon is open.
