Youth Activities Center

The Youth Activities Center offers programs for children enrolled in kindergarten through 12 years old. Our program includes School-Age Care which provides before and after school during the school year and seasonal camps when school is out of session. Our program is designed to enrich a child’s social, cognitive, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. The staff works in partnership with parents to meet each child's needs in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Programs at the Youth Activities Center are available to dependents of military and DoD personnel.

Youth Sponsorship

The Navy Youth Sponsorship Program is a collaborative effort between the Youth Activities Center, the School Liaison, and the local school system. Relocating can be challenging for military youth, thus the program helps facilitate transition and orientation for transfer students. The program also provides support during deployments while promoting academic achievement and successful social and emotional adjustment at school and home. Contact the Teen Center for more information at (904) 246-0347.

In addition to Youth Sponsorship, Anchored4Life is offered at the Youth Activities Center within the School-Age-Care Program. The Anchored4Life Club is a place where connections happen. It is a peer-to-peer club to connect youth while building transition and resiliency skills. The club provides opportunities for peers to enhance social skills, learn leadership skills, build character, improve self-esteem and integrate into their community.
