Our FREE concert and fireworks is coming to Naval Station Mayport on June 28th! The fun starts at 4pm with a festival-like atmosphere filled with food, beverage, bounce houses, a Fun Zone and the Outdoor Pool will be open until 6pm. The music starts around 7pm with the playing of the national anthem and opening act, Two Story Road. The tunes continue when headliner, Brett Young takes the stage. Fireworks will conclude the event around 10pm. This event is open to anyone with base access. *Base access is required.

We’re bringing quality, live entertainment to the military community to honor the military member’s service and sacrifices. This FREE concert and fireworks is coming to Naval Station Mayport just in time to celebrate Independence Day! Open to all Department of Defense (DoD) ID cardholders and their guests to include, active duty, reservists, national guard, retirees, DoD civilian employees and their dependents. *Base access is required.

Am I eligible to attend?

This event is open to all Department of Defense (DoD) ID cardholders and their guests to include, active duty, reservists, national guard, retirees, DoD civilian employees and their dependents. *Base access is required.

Are ATMs available?

The closest ATM is located at Navy Federal Credit Union, one block directly west of the venue, off Massey Ave.

Can I bring my kids?

YES! The concert is open to the whole family, however parent supervision is required.

Can I bring my purse?

Purses are allowed as long as they are not in exceedance of 12"x 6"x 12" dimensions.

Do I need cash?

Our indoor drink sales take both cash and credit cards. Our outdoor drink sales take only cash. However, most vendors will only take cash. We recommend carrying both.

Do I need tickets?

No, you do not need tickets to enjoy Operation MWR. No registration is required either, just show up and have fun! *Base access is required.

How much are drink tickets?

Drink tickets are $7. All sales are final. Tickets are non-transferable. Ticket sales end at 8:45pm. Drink sales end at 9pm.

Is food and beverage available?

YES! Food and beverage is available for purchase. Prepare for most food vendors to only take cash. Tickets for alcoholic beverages are credit card friendly indoors only. A government issued ID is required to purchase and/or consume alcohol. Drink sales will end at 9:00p.m.  Please drink responsibly. Active duty are encouraged to utilize Club 2001 for safe, FREE ride home after the show. Just call (904) 270-5401.

Is handicap seating available?

Yes, handicap seating is available at the venue.

Is Operation MWR really FREE?

YES! The concert and all carnival events are free. However, food and drink will be available for purchase.  

Is parking available?

Parking is available in the parking garage at the intersection of Baltimore St. and Bailey Ave. Handicap parking is avalable in the Beacon parking lot with appropriate documentation. Directional signage will guide you to the appropriate parking lot. Please plan to carpool due to parking limitations and to save time moving traffic through the gate.

Is seating available?

We recommend bringing your own chairs and blankets. The event is taking place in a grassy area. 

Is smoking allowed?

Yes, smoking is allowed, but only in designated areas.

What about bad weather?

This is a rain or shine event.

What about strollers and diaper bags for those with small children?

Strollers will be allowed for caretakers of small children. The same applies to diaper bags long as they are not in exceedance of the 12"x 6"x 12" dimensions. Subject to security screening on site. 

WHAT ITEMS I SHOULD LEAVE AT HOME:

Pets, coolers, glass bottles, containers, backpacks, contraband (including box cutters or other sharp objects) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. No outside food and drink permitted on site. No Fireworks. Please do not interact with any wildlife. If you see any turtles please contact security.
