1. When does the new fee start?

The new annual fee begins with all appointments scheduled in 2026. Appointments for 2025 are nearly full, so once they’re gone, the new fee will apply.

2. How much is the fee?

  • Adults (18+): $20 per year
  • Youth (ages 10–17): $10 per year
  • Children 9 and under can accompany an adult with an MWR Card.

3. Why is there now a fee?

The fee helps cover the administrative costs of processing applications and managing the program. A full-time staff member is dedicated to supporting the MWR Card.

4. What facilities can I access with my MWR Card?

  • Your card provides access to:
  • Windy Harbor Golf Club
  • Beachside Bingo
  • Pinz Bowling Center
  • Bogey’s Restaurant
  • Loggerheads Pub
  • Seaglass Wine Bar
  • Foc’sle Lounge (All Hands Lunch)
  • Ocean Breeze Conference & Catering Center
  • Spinz Restaurant

5. Is the fee per family or per person?

The fee is per person. Anyone age 10 or older must have their own MWR Card.

6. How long is the card valid?

The card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The expiration date can be found in the top right corner of the card in GREEN.

7. What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

If you need to reschedule, please contact the MWR Administration Office at (904) 270-5228 as soon as possible to arrange a new appointment.

8. Can I renew early in 2025 to avoid the 2026 fee?

No. All renewals and new applications scheduled in 2026 will follow the new fee schedule, regardless of your previous renewal date.

9. If I lose my card, do I have to pay the annual fee again?

Yes. This fee applies for all cards that need to be made starting in 2026.

10. Is the fee refundable?

No. The fee is non-refundable.

11. Can I bring guests with me?

  • Guests 9 and under may accompany you.
  • Guests age 10 and older must have their own access through a MWR Card or military affiliated sponsor.

12. Is it still a good value?

Yes. Even with the annual fee, the MWR Card remains one of the best values, offering access to golf, bowling, bingo, and dining at significantly lower prices than off-base facilities.

13. Why does it take so long to get an appointment?

Appointments are often booked several weeks out due to high demand and limited availability. We recommend starting your renewal process 2–3 months before your card expires to ensure you get an appointment in time.

14. Why are new applications and renewals the same process?

All applications — whether new or renewal — are treated the same because each person must be fully vetted for security and access. This ensures fairness and consistency across the program.

Reminder: The MWR Card is a privilege, not a right. Access to Naval Station Mayport is granted only after a background check and approval through the Pass & ID Office. All cardholders are expected to follow base rules and MWR regulations at all times. Misuse of the card or violation of base policies may result in the loss of privileges.
